Smith and Hawken I really enjoyed freelance art directing for other great Bay Area retailers after leaving Williams-Sonoma. Transitioning from overseeing food styling to learning the techniques of dirt styling, was literally a breath of fresh air. Smith and Hawken’s stylists helped turn Alamo Square into a backyard terrace in spite of the rainy weather. Photographer Sean Gellbaugh brought the sun, as he did on top of a Sonoma mountain winery for a “dining al fresco” scene.
