Banana Republic - before The Gap purchased Banana Republic from Mel and Patricia Ziegler, complete with zebra skin carpets in their downtown office. At the time, Banana was still in its safari phase, even as the trend for Indiana Jones attire was beginning to fade. An-Ching Chang, one of the original illustrators who rendered hundreds of meticulous catalog drawings, joined our graphic design team as we began the process of evolving the brand’s identity.
