GAP - Old Navy
Old Navy Gap, GapKids, BabyGap, Banana Republic – what’s one more concept? CEO Mickey Drexler decided we needed to compete in the strip malls of America with a bargain brand. Hiring an agency to come up with an identity, we returned to Mickey’s choice of “Old Navy”, named after a bar he liked in Paris. Our designer, Alan Disparte, came up with the new concept’s original logo, vintage photos and block print graphic identity.
